Information we handle
We may handle information you provide, information created through our relationship with you, and limited technical or campaign information generated when you use our services. This may include contact details, project information, correspondence, consent records, campaign parameters, external referrer hosts, and website interactions. We do not use browser measurement to collect keystrokes, free-form field contents, exact addresses, raw contact details, or device fingerprints.
How information may be used
We may use personal information to respond to inquiries, evaluate and manage projects, operate and improve our services, maintain records, protect our systems and interests, measure service and campaign performance, comply with legal obligations, and support other reasonable purposes connected with our relationship with you. Submitting an inquiry authorizes contact about that inquiry; it does not provide promotional consent.
Website measurement
With analytics approval, WDB may record allowlisted page, navigation, call-to-action, form-stage, delivery, performance, and similar events in a first-party event ledger. Vercel Web Analytics may measure page views. PostHog Cloud US may provide analytics and session replay. Replay is configured to mask all text and inputs, block sensitive elements, and avoid automatic capture of page text or free-form entries.
Advertising providers
With advertising approval, configured services may support pixels, personalization, audiences, campaign attribution, and conversion matching. The four supported advertising platforms are Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. When WDB's Google Tag Manager container is configured, it is the sole authority for those advertising and Google analytics tags. Google Consent Mode may send limited cookieless technical signals while storage and personalization remain denied; the other advertising providers load only after advertising approval.
Service providers and transfers
We may use providers that support hosting, forms, communications, customer relationship management, analytics, advertising measurement, and workflow automation. These may include Vercel, Houzz, Zernio, Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and PostHog. Providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction.
Consent and choices
Necessary functions support security, forms, and storage of your privacy choice and remain on. Analytics covers the first-party event ledger, site-performance measurement, PostHog analytics, and masked replay. Advertising covers advertising pixels, personalization, audiences, attribution, and conversion matching. Analytics and advertising are on when you arrive, and continuing to browse past the first page records your consent to them; the site's notice links to this page for details and opt-out. Both categories operate with the masking and allowlist safeguards described under Website measurement, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the control below. Marketing consent, when offered, is separate, optional, and withdrawable.
Withdraw your consent
This control turns analytics and advertising off for this browser, and back on if you change your mind. Withdrawing stops PostHog analytics and replay, stops Vercel Web Analytics, denies analytics and advertising storage to Google through Consent Mode, and discards any first-party events still waiting to be sent. Directly configured advertising tags load only while advertising consent is in force.
Source attribution
Campaign parameters on the current page may accompany an inquiry without being stored in cookies. First- and last-touch history, the landing page, an external referrer host, and random visitor or session identifiers are persisted only while analytics or advertising is approved. WDB does not persist the exact referring URL for this purpose.
Retention
PostHog session replays are retained for up to 30 days. Browser behavioral event records and inquiries that do not become client projects are generally retained for up to 24 months. Client, project, contractual, consent, and related business records may be retained for at least seven years, or longer where reasonably required for legal, insurance, operational, or dispute purposes. Information is then deleted, anonymized, or securely retained as appropriate.
Access, correction and withdrawal
You may ask about personal information we hold, request access or correction, or withdraw consent where applicable, subject to legal and operational limits. Contact hello@wilkinsondb.ca. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Safeguards and updates
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and its use. No system is completely secure. We may update this policy when our practices change and will identify the effective date of material revisions.
